Shaqayeq Arabi is an abstract painter who has been painting for more than 20 years.
She graduated in graphic design in Tehran
and further developed her artistic skils in Tehran and then in Paris,
where she graduated from Sorbonne University in Fine Arts.
Her paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in several countries,
including in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates,
where she currently has a studio.
Shaghayegh's path to painting started at an early age, with academic painting,
and her first works were strongly realistic, Her style and vision slowly evolved
and she began to experiment with abstract paintings, with her art becoming noteworthy for its color and form.
Shaghayegh Arabi from the start took advantage of every situation to increase her understanding
in her own artistic way, while expanding her abilities by constantly using different materials.
She has never been content with her achievements and has never been afraid to experiment.
Shaghayegh's works is spontaneous.
She does not paint in order to place her audience nor does she paint to satisfy popular or commercial taste.
Instead, her paintings are an inward journey a way on seeing
and feeling the things and situations around her-things that have some kind of effect on her and move her,
Her works is her vision rather than painted depietion of stories or messages.
Her paintings are purely abstract and they simply convey what she felt when painting them.

Shaqayeq’s first solo exhibition was in 1997 in Golestan Gallery in Tehran. She has had several solo and group exhibitions since then.
